Smart Helmet for the future

I wanted to leverage my passionate experiences riding a motorcycle and create a product that would augment safety while streamlining digital interactions and communication with fellow riders.

UX Research

Motion Graphics

I conducted user research for a Helmet and companion app. UX research to understand rider needs and safety requirements along the ride. This included digital product design to augment rider safety and communication through all stages of rider journey. It uses a smart head-up display (HUD) on the visor as well as speaker, mic and a companion app with realtime navigational and information display.

More safety and better context for the riders, so they know the sh*t they’re up against.

Research of what’s out there and understand the needs of riders who’ve been through this sh*t.

Design across all touchpoints, so the product is architected such that the experience isn’t sh*t.

Next Steps

Reflection

  • Understanding all the elements of the tech stack in depth for fruitful integration.

  • Prototype the Version 1 of the physical product.

  • The app screens cover Hero moments for now, so next step would be to create the complete app experience.

  • Understand Emergency Protocols better for deeper integration in times of need.

  • Extensively figuring out the contextual timing of appearance of information.
